Our designers and cabinet makers are equally experienced in crafting a traditional country kitchen as they are at working with the purer lines and curves of the modern contemporary kitchen. All commissions, whatever the style or size, share the same dedication to detail and craftsmanship that is the hallmark of Ashford and Brooks.
Rob and Tom have assembled a team of cabinet makers who not only share their passion for quality craftsmanship but are professional and considerate when working on site.
Tom Brooks

Thomas Brooks is an award winning cabinet maker who served his apprenticeship making fine furniture at REH Kennedy, Ipswich. He then spent six years in the joinery trade working ‘on the bench’ and also fitting on sites throughout London.
In the 80’s Thomas worked in Kuwait, fitting out the interior of the Emir’s Palace and also in Sri Lanka making specialist furniture for a luxury hotel in Columbo.
Having previously worked for a few antique dealers, Thomas is an experienced furniture repairer and restorer and he has also been involved with a number or period property renovations.
Rob Ashford

Robert Ashford is an award winning cabinet-maker. He served his apprenticeship at R. E. H. Kennedy in Ipswich, making fine traditional English furniture, including cabinetry for the Royal Yacht Britannia. In the 1980’s Robert worked in Kuwait, fitting out the Emir’s Palace and in Sri Lanka making furniture for a luxury hotel.
A love of sailing has inspired many wooden boat building projects over the years, including the complete restoration of ‘Trocar’ a 34ft classic wooden sailing yacht with a fine racing pedigree.
Through Ashford and Brooks, Robert has passed on his skills training many apprentices over the years.
